Technology has come a long way, especially in the technology available while on the go through your smartphone, smart watch, tablets, and, yes, even your car. GMC vehicles now come equipped with infotainment systems that help you stay connected wherever the road takes you. We have provided a quick overview of some options available in this GMC Infotainment Guide.

How to Use GMC’s Infotainment System: Stay Connected

GMC Infotainment Guide to In-Vehicle Apps

There are so many options for in-vehicle apps on the infotainment center that an app simulator tool is available to help you learn more about the available apps and their features.  From the apps button on the infotainment center, you can access the available app library or view the current apps that you have installed.

Some available apps can allow you to monitor your car’s health and customize settings, listen to music, download and play audiobooks, and keep up on the latest breaking news. It is important to note that downloading and using apps through the infotainment system may require an active service plan.

Personalized Profiles

You can create a personalized experience for your system by customizing your preferences. You can do this by tapping the Users icon on the home screen and selecting Add User Profile, then Create User Profile. From there, you can enter your name, profile picture, and even save your information to a key fob. After you save your profile by entering your email and password, your settings, from navigation and route preferences, sound settings, radio, and speed settings, will be saved.

You can store your favorite audio selections from the audio page, saving up to 40 sources. The home screen icons are also fully customizable from the home button.

Bluetooth Streaming

You can connect your smartphone via Bluetooth to your GMC infotainment center through the touchscreen or voice recognition functionalities. Once you have paired your phone to your GMC infotainment center, you can stream music, access your phone’s media libraries, and make hands-free phone calls.

Maps and Navigation

There are several options to choose from for maps and navigation on your GMC infotainment system, including a built-in navigation option, Google Maps, and Maps+. You can access the built-in navigation by touching the navigation icon. You can customize route and mapview preferences through the settings menu.
