What is AEV?

GMC has partnered with AEV to enhance the 2023 AT4 with great new features that promise to make it the most off-road capable factory Sierra 1500. American Expedition Vehicles has produced aftermarket parts and accessories for off-road vehicles since 1997. The AT4 AEV Edition will come with updates that make the AT4 even more formidable in off-road and overland travel.

What’s New on the 2023 Sierra AT4 AEV Edition

From the ground up, some of these updates include 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires on unique 18-inch AEV Salta wheels that feature a signature recessed valve system for added cover from debris on the trail. Protecting the truck from below are boron steel skid plates covering the front approach, steering gear, transfer case, fuel tank, and rear differential.

The front and rear bumpers are steel with recovery points and a winch mount available on the front. The font bumper meshes with an updated grille and fascia for a unique look that matches the gloss black door handles and inner tailgate.

Compared to the 2022 Sierra 1500 AT4X, the new 2023 AEV edition increases ground clearance from 10.8 inches to 11.2 inches. The front approach angle increases to 32.5% and the departure angle to 23.4%. You’ll make it over rougher terrain in the new AEV edition than last year's model and go places most trucks can’t. You’ll conquer the dunes of Red Sands or the trails at Juando Pass like never before.

Still Ready to Work

You still have work to do, and the 6.2L V8 engine offers you 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, giving you a max payload of 1,290 pounds and max trailering of 8,700 pounds. The interior offers luxuries like a premium Bose sound system and power massaging front seats to ensure you’re relaxed when you arrive.
